Started in 1985, the small carpentry company developed over the years into a supplier to the play-equipment industry. In the year 1994 finally under today's name Westfalia Spielgeräte the step for the own production and distribution of wooden play equipment took place. Ten years later, it was decided to open up new ways for customers in terms of cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
After two years of development Westfalia released a new product series on the market: play equipment made with recycled plastic. This innovation quickly gained a foothold and continued to provide the company with further growth. Westfalia is now the market leader in recycled plastics. In 2015, a major milestone in our sustainably oriented corporate policy was certification for many of our products with the first and most successful „Blauer Engel" environmental label.
